The members who make up Chicago-bred band Kids These Days hail from every corner of the music spectrum and varying neighborhoods of Chicago, but their collective sound creates a hybrid genre influenced by equal parts jazz, funk, blues, soul and hip-hop. With three horns, a rapper, a blues rock trio, and a female singer packing a voice with gusto way beyond her years, the Kids simultaneously represent a golden era in music and an exciting prospect of the future. Their EP, "Hard Times," has reigned in fans from as far as Europe, but their most undeniable strength lies in the contagious energy at their live shows.

After beating out 150 other Chicago bands of all-ages to win first place in the Congress Theater's Next Big Thing battle of the bands in November of 2009, Kids These Days had officially begun their journey. They have shared the stage with noted hip-hop artists Rhymefest, the Cool Kids, Mic Terror, and Dom Kennedy, and proved they knew how to bring a mainstream, relatable appeal to every kind of audience. After gaining almost instant local acclaim, the Kids began to compose their own music, spawned from the mistakes made during rehearsals and late night freestyle riffs. Since then, word of their music has gone global. With close to 8,000 fans on Facebook and a smashing debut at SXSW, Kids These Days have the industry talking and the internet buzzing, with new fans and seasoned fans alike frequently requesting digital releases, more music videos and hometown concerts.

Authenticity builds on itself, and Kids These Days can claim a degree of it that has become a rarity in today's over-produced musical atmosphere. Their youth supplies them with an unabashed, raw attitude towards performing and creating that is fueled by an appreciation of music in its truest form. They crowd surf. They freestyle. They dance. They're Kids. But their sound will blow you away.

Mercury Rising is from Silver Spring, MD. Created in Cali and rockin with love of the DMV on its back. From the demise of a few old bands and the collaboration of melodic and chaotic styles Mercury Rising is able to woo listeners with our slower tunes and get you dancing all in the same motion. Making an immediate name for ourselves in the Local Hip Hop scene has been a big goal for the band due to how and where we grow up. And Working with platinum selling pop stars and modifying the direction of the music from the tutelage of Mars Volta's Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala we have been able to gain the greatest knowledge that we could have acquired, which simply were the words "Keep it Real", -Omar

While the rock scene in DC remains faithful to itself, Mercury Rising is bringing back the independence that once was REAL ROCK AND ROLL. With the diversity of the band and cultural attributes from members representing Panama, Colombia, El Salvador, and Mexico Mercury Rising ads in latin flavor, as well as R&B influence into each set we play.

The band writes and records all of their music in their studio in Fairfax, VA. Thier Influences come from alternative/punk bands like Green Day and Blink 182. Nine Days Gone started playing shows in the Summer of 2011, and since then they have gained popularity across the DC metro area. With music featured on the radio, a full album on iTunes, and a supporting fanbase, Nine Days Gone hopes to continue their success as they prepare to release their second album in late 2011.

Formed in 2011, Fallworth has been described as nothing short of remarkable. Combining rock, strong melodic vocals, classical piano with hard techno-centric beats, and wailing heavy guitar riffs, this up-and-coming trio has hit a major stride. Influences as wide as Rachmanninoff to Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins to Muse, Rage Against the Machine to Mute Math can be heard in their music. Lead vocalist and guitarist/keyboardist, Sean Mahon, started this as a solo project; producing and recording his original music in his home studio until he crossed paths with bassist/guitarist, JFork (from Cobbler, The War Within, and Pebble to Pearl), and with drummer, Justin LaMora (formerly of Chained Down). After making their official debut just a mere month ago, Fallworth battled it out in this year's KollaborationDC competition to an audience of 700 plus, and took home 3rd place. They are already creating quite a buzz and steadily increasing their fan-base beyond the DC area. Fallworth will soon be going into the studio in hopes of releasing their first EP later this year.

An evolution of the project All Five Seasons, A Raven On The Rosary takes some of the sounds of that band and mixes it with hair metal and classic rock, breathing new life into a music scene consumed by cliche and standards.
