Kids Poetry Club at The Rabbit Hole February 13, 2011

Poems about love and friendship are the focus of Kids' Poetry Club on Sunday, February 13, 1 pm at the Rabbit Hole Book Store, 805 Main St., Fitchburg. Co-organizer Sarah Klapprodt will present a special love-themed program with a Valentine's Day craft for kids and their families. "Young poets are also encouraged to bring their own work, and if you feel like writing a Valentine's Day poem during our gathering, we welcome your creativity!" she says.

Kids' Poetry Club meets once a month in a variety of locales. "Our mission is to bring good writing to a young audience," explains co-organizer Sally Cragin, a writer and artist who is also on the board of New England Poetry Club. "We love to hear the work that children write and provide an encouraging environment for creativity. Admission is free. For more information contact [email protected].
