Khoj - Sculptures & Paintings by Rupali Madan. Rupali Madan - In 2008 Rupali had a joint show on the theme of paintings of the famous Ajanta & Ellora Caves. She sculpted beautifully in terracotta and in stone the figures from the two heritage caves, she was inspired by, and was keen to display to the urban Mumbaites the centuries old art of India... She again displayed her talent in a group show on 'Ganesha' curetted by 'Artdesh - The studio'. Impressed with her Sculptures 'Tradition Art Gallery' invited her to exhibit her wonderful Sculptures in a group show held in May 2009. Now Rupali is all set to have her first solo show 'Khoj' at the Museum Art galley on 8th June 2009. Khoj will unveil the Sculptures she has been busy working on in various mediums like stone, wood, fiber glass and not to forget her paintings on Canvas also! Even though she is very young her Sculptors have an intense maturity and she is able to reflect in her carvings her sensitivity and her sensibilities. For a young lady it is a big achievement to tame stone!! Her mastery over other mediums is equally astonishing. Rupali is a multi faceted personality, she manages to devote Time to teach the mentally and physically handicapped children in Jidda a school in Thane. At the Khoj Exhibition she will also show case some of the works the children have made with her guidance. Rupali will also display some of her creative masterpieces in the exhibition 'Artdesh-the Studio' is having at the Jehangir Art Galley in June 2009.
