Join your neighbors for a literary dialogue with the highly acclaimed author of The Kite Runner. Khaled Hosseini will appear in conversation with Barbara Petzen, the Outreach Coordinator at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies of Harvard University. Ms. Petzen is a popular lecturer at venues on the East Coast, and has done programs for the Public Broadcasting Service. Before coming to Harvard, she taught courses on Middle Eastern History, Islam and Womens Studies at Dalhousie University and St. Marys University in Nova Scotia, Canada. She received an Honours BA as a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University in Oriental Studies.
This program is the keynote event of One Book, One Community: San Mateo County Reads The Kite Runner and is free and open to the public.
