Kevin Mahogany's Kansas City Review March 27, 2009

One of the great male jazz singers, Kevin Mahogany combines a powerful, velvety baritone with deep-dyed musicianship and adventurous taste in material. In this long-awaited Jazz Standard run, the Kansas City, MO native will pay tribute to KC's own "Boss of the Blues," Big Joe Turner (1911-1985). Along for the ride will be Miss Kathy Kosins, a fine singer in her own right; veteran saxophonist and Prestige recording star James "Red" Holloway and "The Godfathers of Groove," namely Reuben Wilson, Grant Green Jr., and Bernard "Pretty" Purdie.
