The world’s most renowned soprano saxophone stylist, who also happens to be the biggest-selling instrumental musician and biggest-selling jazz musician of the modern era, treats Cleveland to an unforgettable holiday concert. Known for his natural ability to create and set different moods with his music, Kenny G also holds the record for the best selling holiday album of all time. The Seattle native studied accounting at the University of Washington before joining Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra in 1976, touring with jazz guitarist Jeff Lorber, and beginning his solo career by catching the attention of legendary music executive Clive Davis.
The landmark performance of his signature hit “Songbird” on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson launched Kenny G as a pop music superstar, and his Breathless recording sold over 15 million copies to become the top selling instrumental album ever. He has recorded with Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole and dozens of other jazz, pop and R&B legends.
Kenny G has earned GRAMMY®, American Music, Soul Train, World Music and NAACP Image awards as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was recently ranked by Golf Digest as the number one musician golfer.
