I don't understand this upcoming web site. What's the different between "I attended" and "I watched." If I attended then I watched and vice versa. And if I click "I watched," then it gives me an option for "don't watch or attend," what's that supposed to mean? And I can't post my review under "don't watch or attend," so what's the point in that? Strange and quirky.
I try to like Kenny G., but I just don't like him. I love smooth jazz, but I don't know if it's his sound, his style, or his song choice and arrangements that turn me off. The other day I was listening to one on the radio and I listened extra carefully to try and give him a fair shake. I still didn't like it but can't quite put my finger on why not. I did notice that in some places he suffered from "diarrhea of the notes." That is, he zipped up and down the scales or around the same small circle of notes over and over at dizzying speeds. That may be a good display of saxophone virtuosity, but it doesn't qualify as tastey music for me.
For a much better smooth jazz/pop romantic style, try Dave Koz. Plus he's a looooota fun in concert.
