A native of Australia, Keith Urban played country festivals from the age of 10, yet he says his guitar playing was influenced by Mark Knopfler and Lindsay Buckingham, both rock musicians. His first major country hit was 'It's a Love Thing' in 2000. Now, a decade and nine studio releases later (not to mention his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman), he's touring to support his latest, 'Get Closer.'
