Keep The Rez Beautiful Clean up on the Rez and Recycle Day November 5, 2011

Keep The Rez Beautiful will host a water and land clean up on Nov. 5 from 8 until 2 p.m. Local kayaking clubs will be boating and toteing trash from the reservoir off of Hyw 471 at the boat landing. Volunteers will also be picking up trash along Spillway Rd. on the Rankin side of the reservoir..All recycleables will be desposited at the Waste Management drop off at the community center.There will be a tail gate party in the parking lot of the community center from 8 until 2 p.m. also. Community residents are encouraged to bring in their recyclables to the drop off at the community center. The efforts of this event is to encourage local elected officials to start a curbside recycling program in the area and to educate the public about the recycling drop off. Reservoir Fireman will be on hand to assist. Sponsors are being solicited to help with food and T Shirts.
