Rethinking the City
A Series of Discussions on Mobility, Transportation and Urban Planning presented and produced by the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles.
After Norman Klein's introduction to this year-long series and Jennifer Siegal's conversation with Allison Arieff about the death of mobility we now invite you to a discussion between Kaucyila Brooke and Glenn Phillips for Big City Forum.

Big City Forum is a project designed to push forth a creative cities agenda and help foster dialogue around sustainable creative communities.
It seeks to link up the intersections, relationships, and shared interests between urban planning, economic development, education, architecture, art and design, cultural exchange, and community activism.

Kaucyila Brooke is an artist based in Los Angeles.
She is the former Director of the Program in Photography and Media at CalArts in Los Angeles where she has been a regular member of the faculty since 1992.

Glenn Phillips is Senior Project Specialist and Consulting Curator in the Department of Architecture and Contemporary Art at the Getty Research Institute.

“So join us, as we imagine honest remedies to the great comedy that is Southern California, for a future that can indeed belong to us.”
(Norman Klein)
