The rising jazz singer and songwriter brings her stylish music and her band (guitarist Perry Smith, pianist Matt Politano, drummer Matt Mayhall and bassist Erik Kertes) to LACMA’s respected jazz series as the last stop of her summer tour. The Kathleen Grace Band (KGB) fuses the virtuosity of jazz with the intimacy of the American folk tradition, drawing in listeners with vocal harmonies, unforgettable grooves and unexpected textures. Grace, who has performed at festivals in Europe, the U.S., and South America, was a finalist in the 2004 Montreux International Jazz Vocal Competition.
