Krystian Lupa, in this adaptation of Thomas Bernhard's chilling 1970 novel 'Das Kalkwerk,' brings us face to face with madness. Poland's Narodowy Stary Teatr performs Bernhard's psychologically complex story of Konrad, a scientist mentally imprisoned by his obsessive work, and his crippled, captive wife, the two of them surrounded by the bleakness of an abandoned lime works. This play will be performed in Polish with English supertitles.
