Kaiser Chiefs - Five indie pop kids from Leeds who in less than two years went from self-financing their first single to getting signed by Universal and becoming the darlings of the British music press. The infectious enthusiasm of their music and the unique viewpoint of their lyrics has seen them compared to Franz Ferdinand, Blur, The Clash, and Madness, but their passionately dedicated fans know that this band are true originals.
The Cribs - A tight trio from Wakefield, Yorkshire. They have combined a natural pop sensibility with a love of rock and roll, and produced a slew of thrilling well written songs in the process. At gigs these songs are delivered with real passion, and the band always puts on a good show.
Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong - Joe Lean is just one of the alter egos of Joe Beaumont, the drummer from The Pipettes, aka actor Joe Van Moyland. The Jing Jang Jong are set to be his most successful project, and almost certainly one of the biggest newcomers of 2006 with their brand of catchy indie-pop. Definitely one to watch out for at a small venue before they become huge!
