Allow me to introduce myself to you.We are Kahawa Coffee located in the Uptown neighborhood ( 838 W.Montrose Ave). We are a very unique Coffee Lounge with a twist.In honor of President Barack Obama's Kenyan African heritage celebration Kahawa Coffee is hosting FREE weekly entertainment (Thursday's, Friday's and Saturdays). The theme of our shows is breaking racial barriers across the world."We are different colors but one people" is what we are promoting in our shows

Nights full of entertainment such as Poetry,spoken word and music. we have alive performance by a Kenyan artist who performs African folk songs and African Dance from Kenya, Cameroon, South Africa (Zulu) DRC. The dances are performed as to celebrate several ocassions in the African traditions.
Chance are when you ask the initial question about whats special about Kahawa House Coffee Lounge its probably " Whats special about their coffee or sandwiches?" We create authentic Kenyan fusion Panini sandwiches which are happily much lighter and healthier than American versions.One delicious case in point our hot toasted paining sandwiches are served on fresh healthy wheat bread ( though white is available too by request) with our lettuce and cabbage vegetables instead of fatty deep fried foods.
We encourage all our esteemed customer to step outside of the usual coffee shop with our authentic Kenyan sandwiches made fresh to order. Our sandwich experiences with light curry and coconut milk sauce or ginger spiced sour cream or our own spicy coconut mustard not to mention our homemade curry mayonnaise will make you Kenyan fusion paining sandwich be livers.
Here at Kahawa, we pride our self in sharing our recipes and culture as practiced in Kenya.Take a break from the normal by relaxing in our lounge and enjoy our tasteful music
Our prices are very reasonable.We want you to have an experience that will leave you wanting more. We invite you to pay us a visit. We are open 7 days a week from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. We offer free WI-FI and free delivery on all our sandwiches.
