Just for Laughs Comedy Festival: Russell Peters June 18, 2011

Born in Toronto, Canada's Russell Peters has been a professional stand-up comedian since 1989. Thanks to YouTube (where he's been viewed over 50 million times) and the Internet, Peters has been selling out theatres and arenas internationally over the past six years. He's sold out New York City's Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall a total of four times, and set new attendance records at London's O2 Arena, where he had over 15,000 fans attending his show in 2009. In 2010, Peters sold out two shows at the O2 Arena in front of almost 30,000 fans and recorded his new soon-to-be-released DVD. In 2010, Peters released his memoir Call Me Russell, which charted at #1 on the Globe and Mail Non-Fiction Bestseller List. In 2009 and 2010, Peters was listed on the Forbes list as one of the top ten highest earning comedians in the United States.
