For those of you already familiar with the lovely Juni Fisher…Howdy! And for those of you new to the wonders of Juni…well you're in for a real treat! Juni has a personal history steeped in the West and is a true cowgirl at heart! She has been referred to as the West's Best Cowgirl Balladeer and has been honoured and recognized by many prestigious organizations. Juni's music has also been featured in several movies and TV show soundtracks.

To describe Juni Fisher's music style and song writing is a kin to trying to rope a dust devil or a wiley lead mare out on the range…you can try, but nothing can truly describe the experience. Her work is original, thought provoking and above all entertaining! When Juni begins to strum the guitar, she gently weaves the story she is about to sing…and when the song starts…you are transported to another world rich in sights, sounds and steeped in the known (and sometimes little known) history of the west. Simply stated, "An evening with Juni Fisher is a truly delightful and captivating experience that will find you wanting for more!"

Juni recorded her first Western release, "Tumbleweed Letters" in late 1999. She released a second album, "Sideshow Romance" in 2004. Her third release, "Cowgirlography" (2006) features the 2007 WMA Song of the Year winner: a beautiful duet with San Joaquin's Joe Hannah, and received a WMA Top Five nomination for Album of the Year. 2008 brought a historical album about her great Grandfather's early life as a young cowhand, titled "Gone for Colorado" and in 2010, she released "Let 'Er Go Let 'Er Buck Let 'Er Fly", a round up to remember celebrating 100 years of the Pendelton Round Up.

Juni won the Wrangler Award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in 2009--a landmark win because Fisher is the first woman in the history of the Wrangler awards for Music to win the "Outstanding Western Album" category. (CDs will be available for sale in the lobby during the intermission and at the end of the concert.)
