Junebug earned his nickname due to his habbit of "bugging" everyone with too many questions. When his mom takes up a job, promising him and his little sister a safer, happier home, he has to adjust to living among old people, besides fighting off the bullies at his new school and finding a father figure to captain him through the difficulties of adolescence, all of which turn out to be rough sailing for the young hero. 'Junebug' is a story of unlikely friendships and the triumph of spirit over real-life obstacles.
