June 28th RED TAIL RING Show at The Ark June 28, 2011

On Tuesday, June 28th, Red Tail Ring (Michael Beauchamp and Laurel Premo) will bring their brand of Americana roots music to “Take a Chance Tuesday” at The Ark (316 S. Main, Ann Arbor). This is the first Ann Arbor show for the Michigan duo since their packed CD release show in April. Audiences know Beauchamp and Premo for soaring vocal harmonies on both original tunes and old-time ballads, and their distinctive instrumentation (on fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, jaw harp, harmonica and bones) that runs the gamut from toe-tapping to heart-rending. The free show (with Kansas City’s Sara Swenson) begins at 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for donation to Ann Arbor’s Food Gatherers.
