Why: "I began Relay for Life in 2002 to support my good friend Alyssa's family after her Grandma passed from Cancer. Since then, my family has lost a total of six family members to cancer. My Grandma recently became a survivor of Ovarian Cancer so we had something to celebrate last year. We also do it for everyone we know who has lost anyone to Cancer. Personally, I am very passionate about this cause as it has affected more people in my life that I would like to mention. It is an emotional event, but it is rewarding and fulfilling and you can really only understand that by being there and talking to people who endure more in one day than we can imagine in a lifetime." - Overmaniac Lindsay Julen
