Plan 9 was started in Oakland, CA in 1997 as a one shot, one time Misfits tribute band. The 1st show sold out in under an hour and in attendance to this historic show was none other than Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica, as well as Jim Martin from Faith No More. All in attendance could not believe the mania that was unleashed that night. Years later Plan 9 have progressed into one of California's most popular bands playing for the likes of Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only (Jerry appears on the "8 Hits From Hell" CD as well). They have mutated from a "tribute band" to a legitimate, full fledged death rock band. Never has a tribute band garnered so much acclaim in such a short time, much less release a CD of killer originals. A Plan 9 show is like stepping back into the golden days of punk.

Los Shimmy Shakers
With all-original super-slinky shimmy-shakin' "Vegas Grind" tunes to bump, grind, and SHAKE IT to; Los Shimmy Shakers may cause you to move your body uncontrollably. Side effects may include warm fuzzy feelings all over and an ear to ear smile. They have a new CD that was Amoeba Records "Home Grown" pick of the month for April. The title of the CD is "shake em, if ya got 'em".

The BadMen
East Bay Rockabilly is just a mere introduction that doesn't give this band any justice. Blending traditional and modern styles, The BadMen always bring a nostalgic feel to all of their shows. Never mind their vintage look and menacing stand-up bass. Their stage presence surpasses anything you can imagine. These musicians have an affinity to the vintage 1950s representing this classic style of music with greased-up hairdos, cuffed jeans and an “I don't give a crap” attitude. Be sure to check them out live to experience a blast to the past! No time machine needed- just the price of an admission ticket. Make it to their next show if you know what's good for you!

The Yes Go's are a 3-piece San Francisco band with a full sound & super original rock/punk garage music! When the YG3 do (occasional) covers, they usually are a bit obscure, purposely to keep their edginess. "We don't like to be categorized; we are more like post post punk."
