Considered to be a shining star in contemporary Jewish music, Julie Silver has been nominated three times to the Just Plain Folks Awards in 2006. Her style is diverse and she writes both liturgical-based music as well as new American Jewish ballads that come from the traditions of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Joan Baez, among others.
