Judith Varney Burch is an Inuit art specialist, lecturer, and curator. She curated “Culture on Cloth: Baker Lake Wall Hangings” currently on exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution’s S. Dillon Ripley Center. Burch is a research collaborator at the Smithsonian’s Arctic Studies Center and a board member of the Nunavut Arts and Crafts Association. This special exhibition (located on the fourth floor of the Wilson Cetnter) will coincide with the 18th Inuit Studies Conference at the Smithsonian Institution, October 24-28, 2012 with prints from Cape Dorset, Pangnirtung, Baker Lake, Igloolik, Ulukhaktok.
