Jubilee Oregon Annual Benefit, “Just Desserts” October 29, 2011

Portland, October 29th Jubilee Oregon will hold it’s annual fundraiser in support of it’s continuing fight for economic justice and debt cancellation in the countries of the Global South. The fundraiser will support Jubilee Oregon’s partnership with Jubilee Zambia. The event features desserts representing the cultures of the global south from international restaurants and individuals around Portland. Wine and fairly traded coffee and tea will be available. Additionally, there will be a marketplace featuring fairly traded chocolate from Equal Exchange, handmade, accessories and decor from India from AWAZ Voice for Empowerment and traditional crafts from Ethiopia. A percentage of sale proceeds will benefit Jubilee Oregon
