Juana Molina
with special guests L'altra & Jorane
Monday, June 13 9:00pm $12 in Advance $15 at the door $12 students (21 & Over)

From her start as an Argentine comic to one of today's brightest indie stars, Juana?s music flows from her acoustic guitar, off-kilter electronic sounds and rhythms and a vast, strangely comforting plethora of noises from flora and fauna, while her voice is soothing and mesmeric. After living and recording her second album, Segundo, in Los Angeles, Molina returned to Argentina determined to continue plugging away at promoting her new solo career. After being picked up by Domino Records and making her Chicago debut during RUIDO at HotHouse in December of 2003, Molina?s career skyrocketed, she toured with Savath & Savalas in April 2004, appearing at the Coachella and Sonar festivals, and touring the country as the special guest of David Byrne. Numerous industry magazines have declared her sound as something completely new yet immediately accessible despite her off-kilter approach to songwriting and her Spanish lyrics.
