JP Crime Watch Workshop: April 5, Our Lady of Lourdes, 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Neighbors for Neighbors, JP next organizing meeting is a Community Crime Watch Workshop on April 5th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM held at Our Lady of Lourdes 46 Brookside Ave, Jamaica Plain MA.

The meeting's goal is to organize neighbors into Neighborhood Crime Watch groups, have these groups collaborate JP-wide, partner with Police, and engage residents in community building activities that keep our streets enjoyable for all. You?l learn what a crime watch is all about, how to start and join one, and how keep your crime watch healthy and fun. If you already belong to a Crime Watch or lead one please come an share your expertise!

Presenters will be Judi Wright, Director of the Neighborhood Crime Watch Unit of the Boston Police Department; Community Service Officers from E-13; Susan Harter, President of the Brookside Neighborhood Association and its Crime Watch committee; Joseph Porcelli, organizer of Neighbors for Neighbors, JP and a Community Organizer with the Neighborhood Crime Watch Unit; and Barry Mullen and Kevin Barry, from the Florida Corridor Neighborhood Association. Barry and Kevin have been recognized for successfully organizing and sustaining Neighborhood Crime Watch groups on their streets in Dorchester. They will speak about their successes and methods. Let's connect and empower JP. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Spread the word and help out at the event.
