Event will transport guests to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia

New York (MARCH 8, 2007) - Seeds of Peace is making its annual event hosted by its Young Leadership Committee A Journey Through the Peace Market on Thursday, March 22, 2007. The event will transport guests to the markets of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. This “experience” event, at Pier Sixty in Chelsea, will envelope guests into “The Peace Market” where they will be surrounded by sounds, scents, tastes, and sights from the Israeli, Palestinian, Egyptian, Moroccan, Afghan, Indian and Pakistani cultures. This year the event is in honor of Jeff Gould, recipient of the Young Leadership Committee distinguished service award.

In addition to the musical performances and celebrity guests from television, film and sports, and graduates from the Seeds of Peace program the event will feature a live auction. The live auction will include luxurious gateways to Europe and the Middle East, dining with celebrities, Walk-on role to the hit CBS show "How I Met Your Mother", VIP Grammy awards tickets, tickets to the Jon Stewart Show, private cooking lessons by world-renowned chefs, NCAA Final Four tickets in 2008 and spectacular automotive and sports packages. Other unique event details include Mezze, a Middle Eastern Market, open bar and buffet, and a Raffle.

VIP packages start at $2,500; individual VIP tickets are $750. ADD TENTS Both allow entrance to the VIP Reception (doors open at 6:30pm) which includes attendance by Ambassadors, political dignitaries, and celebrities. Individual tickets for the main event (doors open at 7pm) start at $250. The program will begin at 8:30pm. All proceeds go to Seeds of Peace.
