Journey into Rhythm - Marimba, Percussion, Drums and Cello Concert by Ziv Eitan and his group. In collaboration with the Consulate General of Israel and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.This musical journey by Ziv Eitan on the marimba traverses many styles and genres, ranging from Bach to 21st century electronic-acoustic rhythms. It's world music of a high order. He is accompanied by percussionist Omri Blau and cellist Ira Givol. Eitan was born in Israel in 1970. He studied under Alon Bor, the principal percussionist of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, and continued his studies at the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv. After graduation, Eitan took additional courses at the Danish Royal Academy of Music, where he tutored under Prof Bennett Liluff. He has also trained under some of the best classical soloists in New York, such as Jim Price, Gordon Stout and Lee Howard Stevens.
