Jordan Dodson and Yumi Tamashiro August 31, 2012

Guitarist Jordan Dodson is joined by special guest percussionist Yumi Tamashiro in the New York City premiere of Paul Lansky's 'Partita.' This new duo explores the dynamic relationship between these two instruments while swerving in and out of textures and styles. The program will also include solo guitar music by Regondi, Brouwer, and others. Jordan Dodson is a soloist and chamber musician based in New York and Philadelphia. He is currently a Diploma student at the Curtis Institute of Music. Yumi Tamashiro is a freelance percussionist based in New York City and is a founding member of the Mobius Percussion Quartet. She has performed at various venues such as the Banff Center of Arts, Chapman University, CultureFix, (le) poisson rouge, and Symphony Space in NY.
