.Jones Farm Open House and Harvest Party!

4:00pm Saturday, October 6th at the George Jones Farm and Nature Preserve.

Come see what the farms of the future may begin to look like! Join us for an interactive learning tour of the Jones Farm in Oberlin. See advanced soil building techniques applied to market gardens, look at wetland restoration projects, see free-range chicken demonstrations, strawbale coolers and buildings, apiaries, composting demonstrations, and much more!

Tour begins at 4pm followed by a pot-luck at 6pm and a bonfire with local musicians. Special screening of digital images from the 2007 growing season projected on a straw-bale wall. Bring your favorite dish featuring local food from City Fresh or your neighborhood farmers’ market! Come see where some of the City Fresh food comes from, meet the farmers, other shareholders, and enjoy some good music, photos, conversation, and fun.
