Steel Pan player Jonathan Scales is an innovative musician who can expand the sounds of Steel Pan outside the sphere of the Caribbean sounds and into jazz, funk, bluegrass, afrobeat and other rhythms. Scales formed his jazz-fusion quartet, the Fourchestra, in 2007. The band is based in Asheville, NC.
