Johnny Winter is an American music legend. Since his first appearance on the pages of Rolling Stone in 1968, he has epitomized the fiery and flamboyant rock 'n' roll guitar hero. Sticks and Stones is a trio consisting of Town and Country's bassist Josh Abrams, Chicago Underground Duo drummer Chad Taylor, and saxophonist Matana Roberts. Steeped in the art of improvisation, Sticks and Stones draws inspiration from the work of Jimmy Giuffre, Thelonius Monk and Feli Kuti.
