When you say the name John Scofield to those in the know, there’s a great feeling of reverence for this great musician. His bio reads like a who’s who of the last four decades in jazz, performing with the likes of Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis. John Scofield’s time touring and performing with Miles Davis many years ago placed him firmly in the foreground of jazz consciousness both as a player and a composer. A hugely influential musician, John Scofield now brings his Hollowbody Band project with drummer Bill Stewart and bassist Ben Street to Wharton Center, featuring one of today’s great guitarists, Mike Stern.
