When Chicago's own John Prine left his post-office job to become a musician, he was immediately labeled "the new Bob Dylan" for his socially conscious songs. For over thirty years, Prine has explored styles ranging from folk & blues to country & rockabilly, never settling on one element to pigeonhole his creative output. Prine won a 1991 Grammy award for his album, 'The Missing Years,' which included guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt & Tom Petty.

john Prine's "Prine Time" is one of my alltime favorite albums. My late husband & I would listen to him for hours (back in the 70's)! I would really love to attend his concert as I've never had the chance to see him live. I'm gonna do my best to make it, as i only live in Bean Station, Tn, which is lesss than an hour away. If I can't make it (WAAAAH), all ya'll have fun for me too! ENJOY!
P.S. , it's me again apologizing for my spelling! Yes, I did go to H.S. & college! (Hoe embarrassing)!

John has always been one of my very favorite musicians from the time that I first heard him.He is truely tallented. He is one that I wish I had lived next door to and really known as a friend. My father was a coal miner so I can really relate to some of his songs. So much of his is just fun music that he is sharing with us.If I am lucky, I may get to see him when he is at the Theatre. I would just like to tell him how much his tallent is enjoyed and that he is truely appreciated.
