"It would be painful to watch John Mulaney relive his childhood humiliations, if it weren't so hilarious."
--ROLLING STONE, Comedy's New Wave: Eight Rising Stars Guaranteed To Keep You Laughing For Years

Vaguely familiar to the millions who watch SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, CONAN and more, John Mulaney has become somewhat more recognizable with the January 28 Comedy Central broadcast and January 31 DVD/digital release of his new stand-up special NEW IN TOWN.

A wizened comedy veteran at 29 years of age, Mulaney began his career in New York's East Village as part of the two-man "Oh Hello Show" with comedian Nick Kroll. He has since performed everywhere from Ireland, to Australia to Grand Isle, Nebraska. He'll kind of perform anywhere. He was named one of VARIETY'S 10 COMICS TO WATCH and one of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY'S COMEDIANS ON THE RISE in 2008--the same year he began working at SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE where he's since appeared as a WEEKEND UPDATE correspondent and co-created such characters as "Stefon" with Bill Hader.

NEW IN TOWN is Mulaney's second Comedy Central stand-up special and album. His first, THE TOP PART, was released in 2009 and was recently hailed as "criminally overlooked" and "a finely-crafted piece of work" by THE HUFFINGTON POST.
