John Kennedy’s 68 Comeback Special July 12, 2008

Local legend, John Kennedy, will return to the Rose of Australia in Erskineville on Saturday 12 July. The one-time King of King Street, will lead his band, John Kennedy's 68 Comeback Special, through an evening of Urban and Western music featuring Kennedy's trademark pop, rock, folk and country influences.

The band will be playing some old favourites from Kennedy's Greatest Bits and Pieces CD, Inner West, as well as songs from the recent Someone's Dad CD. If Kennedy needs to reinforce his affection for his beloved Inner West any more, look no further than the subtitle of that CD, "A One Way Ticket to Erskineville." It's probably the only CD ever to namecheck Erskineville in its title. It doesn't get any more Inner West than that!
