John Doughty's Artillery (Continental) November 24, 2007

John Doughty, born in New York City and graduate of King's College (now Columbia University), was appointed captain-lieutenant of an American artillery unit during the Revolutionary War. The unit went on to fight in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth, Springfield, and Yorktown. The John Doughty's re-enactors are led by Richard Cuneo, and include Amy Adamo, the director of Manhattan's Fraunces Tavern Museum.
