John Buck has created a large and important body of work comprised of woodblock prints and rubbings, sculpture and three-dimensional wood panels. Tough-minded and visually complex, Buck's art is saturated with richness of images, icons, symbols, motifs, and an intense lyrical and authentic evocation of both the natural and social worlds.
