Set in a 1911 Pittsburgh boarding house, this play takes you on a journey to freedom traveled by the children of liberated slaves. The play is both haunting and jubilant, deeply moving and wonderfully funny. Arguably, this is Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson's best play to date and one of the best plays of the 20th century.
