An utterly moving integration of movement, visual imagery and the spoken word, the Barclay presents the southern California premiere of Joe Goode's latest dance-theater work. Wonderboy is an intimate story of an unlikely superhero realized through inspired movement and the enchantment of puppetry. Acclaimed for creating deeply felt, profoundly human experiences, choreographer Joe Goode works with acclaimed puppet designer Basil Twist to create a magical collaboration of innovative storytelling infused with wit, humor and pathos.

Wonderboy had its world premiere last June in San Francisco. The program also includes an audience favorite Joe Goode’s 1996 work, Maverick Strain.
