In the songs of Joe Firstman, sensitive young men prowl the hills of LA, searching for fame and beauty, only to find self-destructive behavior and egos gone wild. While Hollywood's peaks and pitfalls have been prominently charted by songwriters from Don Henley, Stevie Nicks and Jackson Browne to Warren Zevon, Firstman aims to reinvent the milieu for his own generation. After national tours with Sheryl Crow, Jewel and Willie Nelson, a record deal with Atlantic Records, & a four year gig as band leader for the Last Call with Carson Daly show, Firstman moved to the surfing enclave south of LA called El Porto & wrote an album's worth of material titled after the town. Ready to head back on tour in support of El Porto , this artist coming into his own is one not to be missed at our StageOne.
