Buck Creek cornetist and co-leader Jim Ritter successfully launched his Creole Gumbo Jazz Band at the Westlawn Inn in North Beach, MD this spring. The group, which specializes in traditional jazz, returns for its next performance on Saturday, June 20. With Ritter are Ben Redwine on clarinet, Rick Rowe on banjo and guitar, and Tom Holtz on tuba. The Creole Gumbo Jazz Band will be at the Westlawn Inn on Saturday, January 29, 2011 (the 5th Saturday of this month). They usually play there on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
