New Jersey native Jim Norton is a nationally-touring comedian who can be heard 5 days a week on the Opie & Anthony radio show. He was also a series regular on the HBO series Lucky Louie, as well as Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. Jim has made 4 appearances on The Tonight Show and 1 appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, had his own half-hour special on HBO’s One Night Stand and been featured on Last Comic Standing and Last Call with Carson Daly. Often pegged as an ‘angry comic’ because of his raunchy brand of humor, Jim argues the only labels in comedy that truly matter are ‘funny,’ ‘original,’ and ‘hack.’

Norton’s first inkling of becoming a comedian came at age 12 when he saw Richard Pryor’s special Richard Pryor: Live in Concert. He wound up in rehab at 17, dropped out of high school the next year, then started signing up for open-mic nights at local bars when he was 21.

Norton became a regular guest on the Opie & Anthony Show on WNEW after numerous guest appearances. In 2000, he was arrested with Lewis Black and a busload of naked women in connection with the “Voyeur Bus” stunt on the radio show. Infinity Broadcasting cancelled the Opie & Anthony show in 2002 after yet another risqué stunt - the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Sex for Sam incident.

He has released two CD’s of his stand-up comedy: 2002’s Yellow Discipline and 2003’s Trinkets I Own Made From Gorilla Hands. Jim has gained a diverse audience packing theaters and clubs across the country to experience what Judi Brown of the Aspen Comedy Festival called “brutal honesty” and called Jim, “refreshing in a business where a lot of people are phony.”
