JIGU! THUNDER DRUMS OF CHINA are four-time gold-medal winners of the National Star Awards in China for excellence in drumming and percussive performance. JIGUs 28 talented drummers, percussionists, and musicians, embody the magical heritage of the Yellow River in the heart of the Shanxi Province, birthplace of the drum and gong. Each performer comes from a different village and the companys performances are deeply rooted in the provinces folk origins.

For nearly two decades, JIGU! Thunder Drums of China have been electrifying audiences in many countries throughout the world. Americans remember JiGUs performance during the US/China NBA games (2004) and they were a smash at the Shanghai International Arts Festival.
