Janki Kutir, Juhu Church Road, Vile Parle(W)
Mumbai, Maharashtra

This play consists of 4 monologues, played by 4 different women representing the different strata of society, different regions of India and different ages. They also characterize the typical relationships that a woman is known through in our society, namely, mother, daughter, sister and wife. However, there is a single thread that connects all their four stories and each one of them has something to say to the audience, which they can identify with. Each character powerfully questions certain beliefs, customs and ideas of our society that are bias and discriminating, but we have become so indifferent to the same, that we chose to shy away from such questions.. Ekjute has pioneered various forms of theatre since its formation in 1981 under the able guidance of Mrs. Nadira Zaheer Babbar. Ekjute has set trends and standards in doing & projecting good theatre.
