The Contemporary Jewish Museum commissioned composer and impresario John Zorn to curate a series of sound pieces for the Museum's Stephen and Maribelle Leavitt "Yud" Gallery, all based on individual Hebrew letters. The result is the sound installation, John Zorn Presents the Aleph-Bet Sound Project. Among the world-class musicians contributing to this project are Jewlia Eisenberg, whose "Heavenshow" is based on the letter Hay. As part of her exploration of the letter Hay, as well as aspects of ancient Babylonian culture, Eisenberg and her group Charming Hostess will perform music from "Heavenshow," as well as from their forthcoming album "The Bowls project" (Tzaddik Records). Tickets: $8 members; $12 general
