Portland-based journalist Jessica Bruder delivers Burning Book: A Visual History of Burning Man, a narrative non-fiction, photo-illustrated, sunburned and somewhat delirious account of the annual migration to Black Rock City.

The book weaves together interviews with scores of participants: from desert virgins to Cacophony Society veterans; from La Contessa's sailors to the Gerlach fuel guy; from the Flaming Lotus Girls to Larry Harvey. It's brimming with images from more than 30 photographers and dozens of festival artifacts.

Expect authorial anecdotes, a bit of readin', and more projected photos than you can shake a flaming stick at.
