Canadian native Jeremy Hotz, Eye Magazine's "Stand Up Comic of the Year" , is a favorite in stand-up comedy clubs across Canada and the US, including the world famous Improv!
Jeremy recently headlined Canada's Just for Laughs Canadian Tour and was named Best Performer in Montreal by the Globe and Mail. He was also chosen "Best in the Fest" by Bill Brownstein of the Montreal Gazette.
Jeremy is a frequent guest on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman. He headlined at Roy Thompson Hall with Jon Stewart and Mike Bullard for CTV's 5th Anniversary celebration in 2003 and its half0-hour sticom Made in Canada. Comedy Central recently showcasedhim in "The Jeremy Hotz Special" and he has guest starred in MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour.
Jeremy is also a talented actor who has appeared in the feature films My Favorite Martian(with Elizabeth Hurley) and Speed II (with Sandra Bullock and Jason Patrick). He starred int eh four-part mini-series Married Lifeon Comedy Central and was nominated for an award for CBS's Cana-Duh. He was a recipient of a Gemini award for "Best Performance in a Comedy Show or Series" for his work in the celebrated series Newsroom on the CBC and PBS in the US.
In addition to his stand-up career, Jeremy was a staff writer on the critically acclaimed Jon Stewart Showin New York and received a GEMINI nomination (Best Writing in a Comedy or Variety Show or Series) for his comedy special What Ever Happened to Jeremy Hotz?
Jeremy will reprise his award-winning role on Newsroomin the upcoming feature film, Newsroom: The Movie.
