The New York Times hails Jeremy Denk as “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs, in whatever combination — both for his penetrating intellectual engagement with the music and for the generosity of his playing.” An Avery Fisher Career Grant winner, New Yorker writer and inveterate blogger (his Think Denk blog is one of the more captivating music reads in any genre), Denk has established a reputation as one of today’s most compelling and accessible young artists. On the heels of recent collaborations with the Tokyo Quartet and Ensemble ACJW, Denk returns to PCMS for his first solo recital in three seasons – a typically virtuosic program of works by Liszt and Brahms.
