336 Commercial Street
Provincetown, Massachusetts 02657

At her first show this season in Provincetown, Jennie McNulty was sporting a black eye after getting a bit rough during a pick-up football game. The athletic comedian says she has a money-back guarantee if she doesnt make you laugh.

"If they ask if Im funny, I say no" she jokes. This is her third season at the Vixen, but she lives out in California.

A native of Detroit, McNulty has been doing stand-up comedy for 15 years. She got into comedy while working in a research lab because she made people laugh. That gave her encouragement to go and do open mic nights in Detroit. Since then, shes been getting on stage and cracking up the audience with her playfully sarcastic style of humor.

McNulty doesnt stay put in the U.S. though. Shes done military tours in Iraq and Afghanistan which she said were really rewarding. This is her year round job and her goal at each show is for people to walk out happy.

Performances are "like kids, you dont have a favorite and you like them for different reasons."The comedian doesnt have a favorite show she has done, saying performances are "like kids, you dont have a favorite and you like them for different reasons."

In addition to her stand-up act, she works for www.afterellen.com and since she plays football, her focus in her acts are women in stand-up and athletics. She has even had a televised special on the Logo Network called "One Night Stand-Up" which she says was "really good." McNulty likes her shows everyday because even after a bad day "theyre a good stress release."

Her show is hilarious and you wont be getting your money back unless you have no sense of humor.

Check her out at the Vixen nightly at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. 508-487-6424 or www.ptownvixen.com.
