Join us for a special spoken word outing at the beautiful Lakeshore Theater with legendary musician and cultural / political commentator JELLO BIAFRA. BIAFRA was, of course, the controversial frontman for groundbreaking punk group THE DEAD KENNEDYS. The group disbanded after a grueling obscenity trial in the eighties, whereupon BIAFRA put his energies into his Alternative Tentacles imprint, a cultural clearing house that produces film, literature and music. He's been involved in a wide variety of collaborative projects over the years, many of them spoken word endeavors.
